All schools have Boards of Governors, made up of members of the school staff, parents and participants from the local community. Their main job is to support and challenge the school management team in their delivery of the highest-possible standards of teaching and care for all pupils.

School governors are all (aside from the Headteacher) volunteers. New Marston Primary School currently has two vacancies on its governing body. Governors normally serve for four years. No previous experience is necessary, and the average time comitment is around one hour a week. If you would be interested in joining the governing body, please contact the school office.
